2025 - Audiology Technician Training Program Development
In August 2025, World Wide Hearing co-designed and delivered a first-of-its-kind, 10-day training program for 13 audiology technicians in Yaoundé, Cameroon—the first of its kind in both the country and across CBM priority countries. Developed in response to the severe shortage of trained audiology professionals, the program brought together nurses and ENT clinicians from the Centre, Littoral, and North-West regions for hands-on training in hearing screening, audiological assessment, diagnosis, management and referral of ear conditions, hearing aid fitting, and earmould making. Supervised clinical activities helped participants apply their learning in practice, with 108 people screened and 13 fitted with hearing aids during the training.
2025 - LabXchange Partnership for Science Education
In 2023, WWH developed a Hearing Health Introduction Course for teachers and educators. 45 minutes of video content along with a training manual were created. The course was designed to help teachers better support students with hearing loss in the classroom.
In late 2025, World Wide Hearing partnered with LabXchange, a global learning platform at Harvard University, that has reached more than 70 million visitors since 2020. By making the course available through LabXchange, WWH opened the door to reaching millions of educators, families, and learners with essential hearing health information.

2025 - WHO Learning on TAP
World Wide Hearing, in collaboration with and with funding from the World Health Organization, developed a course on hearing aid programming and hearing assistive devices.
After two years of co-development, adaptation, and field testing with the WHO, the course was officially released in late 2025, marking an important milestone in expanding access to practical basic hearing care training worldwide. Learning on TAP is WHO’s open-access training platform, and its Assistive Technology course includes dedicated hearing modules on hearing assistive products, preprogrammed hearing aids, programmable hearing aids, and personal remote microphone systems that World Wide Hearing co-developed.
